Gowrie Primary School offers a Visual Arts program developed and delivered by a specialist teacher. All students from K to 6 participate in weekly lessons that involve engagement with all aspects of the art making process. Students participate in discussions, sharing opinions and ideas about a wide range of art styles, artists and art processes. Students develop their ability to generate ideas, refine, experiment and take creative risks via the use of a developmental visual arts diary. The presentation of finished artworks for displays and other related art exhibitions including such events as Step Into The Limelight, community and online exhibitions.
